Next Top Boss

Balloon Art Studio have been working with Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation on this fantastic competition for young people in the Thurrock area.

Next Top Boss is a Thurrock competition, put together by a number of local organizations, many of which are part of much larger national groups.
They are called 'Team Thurrock' and their goals from the competition are:

- To help young people in our local area develop skills and to build the next generation of business talent
- To promote Thurrock as a great place to work and live
- To work together, sharing ideas and forging a stronger business community

The idea for Next Top Boss came from the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation, which works to grow the Thurrock economy, creating jobs and boosting business as well as improving the environment and making Thurrock a better place to be. Since early 2009, the Corporation has drawn in many other organizations including our main local colleges and the Council to work on Next Top Boss.

The competition will be running from May to September, the team have been running roadshows to encourage young people to sign up to be part of the adventure.

Balloon Art Studio will be hosting a number of Experience Days for the young people, from which they will gain an understanding of the Balloon industry in relation to corporate customers. They will learn the skills needed to work with balloons as well as marketing and promotional skills. The day will end with the young people having to develop and present a marketing idea using the skills they have learned.
